The project context.

Suroj Buildcon was executing complex site infrastructure works for the Microsoft Data Center HYD 11 project.

The data center had extensive site infrastructure services, including multiple utilities and lateral service networks.

Space availability was limited, making service routing, access, installation sequencing, and coordination highly challenging.

The lateral nature of the services created a high risk of clashes between utilities, structures, roads, levels, and other site elements.

Without detailed digital coordination, these issues could have resulted in site rework, execution delays, access conflicts, and increased project risk.

What the team needed.

  • To create a highly detailed and coordinated BIM model for the complete site infrastructure services.
  • To develop the model at LOD 400/500 level to support construction-level coordination and execution.
  • To identify and resolve service clashes before site execution.
  • To optimize service routing within limited available space.
  • To provide the project team with reliable, coordinated, and site-ready digital information for construction.

How ECOMES supported the project.

  • Modelled complete site infrastructure services for the Microsoft Data Center HYD 11 project.
  • Developed detailed LOD 400/500-level BIM models for construction coordination and execution support.
  • Coordinated complex lateral site services within constrained site conditions.
  • Identified clashes between utilities, services, structures, roads, levels, and other site infrastructure elements.
  • Supported routing optimization to reduce execution conflicts.
  • Helped the site team visualize installation challenges before construction.
  • Provided model-based coordination support to reduce potential on-ground issues.
  • Supported the project team with digital construction information suitable for execution-level decision-making.

When the work was delivered.

ECOMES’ services were delivered during the construction coordination and execution-support stage.

The modelling and coordination work was carried out to support site teams before and during installation of complex infrastructure services.

The project required fast coordination cycles due to space constraints, execution dependencies, and the critical nature of data center infrastructure works.

What the study enabled.

  • Improved coordination of complex site infrastructure services.
  • Reduced risk of clashes and execution conflicts on site.
  • Helped avoid potential rework by resolving issues digitally before construction.
  • Improved visibility for the site team through detailed LOD 400/500 modelling.
  • Supported better planning of service routing in a space-constrained data center environment.
  • Enabled smoother construction coordination for highly complex lateral infrastructure services.
  • Demonstrated ECOMES’ capability in delivering advanced BIM coordination for mission-critical data center projects.
